Eligibility Criteria
To apply for a Student Visa (Subclass 500), you must meet the following:
Post-Vocational Education Work Stream
- 1. Age Requirements
- Minimum age: 6 years old
- School students must meet specific age limits:
- Below 17 for Year 9
- Below 18 for Year 10
- Below 19 for Year 11
- Below 19 for Year 11
- 2. Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE)
- Must be enrolled in a CRICOS-registered course
- A valid CoE is required for your application
- 3. English Language Proficiency (minimum scores required)
- IELTS: 6.0
- TOEFL iBT: 64
- PTE Academic: 50
- Cambridge English Advanced: 169
- 4. Financial Capacity
- Evidence you can cover tuition, living expenses, and travel costs
- 5. Health & Character Requirements
- Meet health standards and provide police clearance if required
- 6. Genuine Student Test (GST)
- Demonstrate that your primary intention is to study and return home after your course
